I take credit for all of my photos but feel free to reblog them or to contact me (leonieleuchtmal@web.de) if you want to use something elsewhere and oh of course ask me whatever you want.
This blog contains just a little collection of my photographs taken throughout the last couple of years - whenever I feel like (sometimes kind of often, sometimes I forget this blog for months) I post a random photo of a sequence I was working on. You can clearly see a development from the first to the most recent photo and I'm trying to keep moving on. To me the progression is the most important base in art. I mean social progression, progression that takes us further.
I actually started this blog with the aim to find and create something new. I thought photography turned into an art form that is less interesting and innovative nowadays and I wanted to work against it strongly.
I worked with society and my surroundings, always trying to find something new and get the most of it. I wouldn't say it worked but I got better. I worked in different areas and with different people and I worked with different tools. I have a variety of cameras, digital, analogue and I sometimes love to work with disposable cams. Since I was born into the digital world I'm also into digital photo editing. It was Gursky who taught me how to use it differently (not that I ever met him) - to manipulate. It is the great world of editing that distinguishes from classical photography as it started a few decades ago. And that's what we should use! In this modern world where photography is anything but new, where anybody is able to take a good-looking picture by just ticking the release. It's up to us to create something innovative.
Though - I believe that photography should be accessible to anybody. It's not dependent on what kind of camera you use but it's dependent on what you create, see and want to express.
It's not the super expensive digital reflex camera that make you stick out.
In here I just show some of my photography- I have a high demand on art but on this blog it's often just the aesthetic and beauty of the scene that made me post the photograph. And you can't blame me for that.
Anyways, this is supposed to be a brief description but ask me if you want me to get further.

Dan Snaith interview at Berlin Festival 2010.
- ArtiBerlin /Olga Asinska, NCNC and LeoMontana
(I haven’t developed the photos I took of Dan at the interview and on stage yet but I’ll attempt that very soon. Probably one of the best moments in my life! NCNC did a really great job and the interview is unique. Even the colours of his windbreaker matched perfectly with the background. Uh and he’s a smart guy, eh?)
